First Time Aerial Shoot Prep

Write down your poses! Or have a phone note or photos in a specific album, SOMETHING. Getting aerial brain is very real when doing a photoshoot and you'll forget everything you had prepped! If you run out of ideas, just let us know! But definitely come with a list of things you know you want to capture.

Myself, as well as my assistants, train on various aerial apparatus so we’re able to provide suggestions, but not training. Please don’t attempt or ask to attempt poses you’ve never done before!

If you need a break, TAKE IT! A whole time slot can be exhausting so don't feel like you need to be in the air the whole time. And bring water for your breaks!

Don't rush through your poses. Keep in mind that I'll be snapping away so we may need to rotate you to get better angles so just move slowly and hold your poses. I usually say something like "Awesome!" "Got it." "Perfect." etc: some kind of praise to let you know I got the shot and that you're good to move on. If I miss something and want you to do it again I'll definitely let you know as well.

And most importantly, have fun and enjoy what you're doing! If you're stressed we'll see it on your face. And we all do aerial for the fun of it, right?

If any questions pop up today, before the shoot, or even at the shoot, don't hesitate to ask!
