June 21, 2019: THE RIG HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN ORDERED. Also I’m a big ole dummy and just found out: the site is listed in Canadian Dollars, not American Dollars. SO we over-raised by about $600. HA!! But the good news is, this can go straight towards fabric and insurance and all that goodness. <3 Fundraiser is still open until the end of July so if you want discounts and the forever discount, they are yours to be had! June 14, 2019: Only 4 days later we have hit our second goal of $2700. So we are officially getting the rig with the pulley system! I am just amazed by the support and interest in this project. I won't change the goal again, but pre-sale is still open through the end of July and all additional funds will still go towards silks, additional equipment, and insurance for the equipment. June 10, 2019: We hit $2300 today!! I am so excited and unbelievably grateful that this is officially happening. I am expanding my goal to $2700 to go towards adding on the pulley system and silks/hammock. Anything beyond that will still cover taxes, shipping, and extras. Don't forget, becoming a backer gets you a GUARANTEED 20% off shoots with me FOREVER. That's right, how good does a forever discount sound?! "Hey Kadie, whatcha up to here?" My main focus with this pre-sale is to sell aerial (mostly outdoor) rig shoots for aerialists, but if you're not an aerialist and would like to participate in funding this and want to buy other shoots, please feel free! (Samples of everything else I can do can be found here: click!) Just make a note on what you're interested in on the form after the donation! Additionally, if you're interested in only making a donation, there's a space for you to just fill in a custom donation amount. I greatly appreciate any little bit to meet my goal.

"Whoa, that's a LOT of money. Where is all of it going?" I know, $2300 is a ton of money. Majority is going straight to the rig! I will be purchasing a 12'-20' Juggle Gear rig that costs $2285 including shipping.  There are cheaper rigs out there but through my research + experience of setting up/taking apart other freestanding rigs, I've found that most of them are HEAVY and require 3-4 people to assemble & take apart. To be able to travel with the rig for shoots, I'd need 2-3 extra people to help me set up & break down every shoot. This particular rig is sturdy but lightweight & can be rigged either by myself or with one extra set of hands! I'd much rather spend the extra money up front to have something I can handle myself.

I already have a tab-less lyra. If I surpass my goal of $2300, it will be going towards getting a pulley system that pairs with the rig ($300), silks, and a hammock ($TBD, I haven't picked them out yet!).

"So, what's in it for me?" Aside from getting some super cool photos, why fund my rig by buying your photoshoots in advance? Why not just wait until I have the rig in my hands and then purchase your shoots?

"When is all of this happening?" This pre-sale will run through the end of July. All money will go into my business PayPal account & will remain untouched until the end of the sale. If for any reason I am not able to order the rig from the pre-sale funds, all money will be refunded to you! My goal is to purchase the rig and begin shooting by the end of August. Photoshoots are to be scheduled quarterly in 2019-2020 and I will take votes on dates to get the best dates for everyone in each city. If for any reason you aren't able to make the scheduled dates/locations set in 2019-2020, of course you are welcome to roll over your shoots into 2021 if you need to! You will not lose the shoots you have pre-paid for.

Photography Background + Goals

I have been doing photography for over 10 years, mostly as a hobby. I've been self employed now for almost two years and moving towards photography full time has been a goal the entire time. Art has always been a huge part of my life. From dance to cheerleading to musical theatre to aerial arts, I have been involved in some form of artistic movement since I was 3 or 4 years old. 

My primary goals with the rig are the first, photography could finally become a more stable, more full-time income. Second, I would love for it to allow me to travel, starting with the southeast and then hopefully branch out from there and travel further to other cities with strong aerial presences and desire for photoshoots! Photoshoots will definitely be scheduled in Charlotte and Greenville, however if you're in another city with interest in participating please feel free to message me! If there is enough interest in other cities, I'm happy to add another major participating city to the list! (: (Ahem, Charleston, I'm looking at you!)
